There are a number of ways you can be involved in our ministry. As we prepare to enter full-time ministry, one facet of our current ministry is developing a team of partners to join us in this ministry. We can’t do it alone, and we recognize the necessity of partnerships in a number of areas.
First and foremost, we need prayer supporters. SIM’s motto is “By Prayer”, and we are very aware of our need to have others praying for us if we are to have a spiritual impact in our ministry. If you would be interested in receiving prayer requests from us by email, please sign up for our prayer list. You may also want to sign up for our regular newsletter.
Second, we need financial supporters. Thanks to the generosity and faithful support of our existing partners who have been giving while waiting for us to be able to leave for South Africa, we have enough funds in our support fund to carry us through our first two-year term in South Africa. However, we will need additional support in place before we will be able to return for our second term, and may need additional support to allow us to fund our ministry expenses while we are in South Africa. If you would like to support us through either a one-time gift or a regular commitment, you can either go to our SIM Canada page (for Canadians) or give through SIM USA (for Americans) towards our support fund (which helps pay our salaries and admin costs) or our ministry fund (which pays for our travel and equipment).
Third, we welcome help in developing our partnership team. We are happy to come and speak to small groups or churches and would love invitations to do so. Also, if you have friends, family, or colleagues who might be interested in what we’re doing, let us know so that we can share with them in person or by phone or Skype.
Fourth, we love to hear from our friends, family, and partners. Send us an email or a Facebook message and let us know you’re thinking about us. Let us know what God is doing in your lives — we’d love to know how to pray for you, since we believe prayer support is a two-way street!
